Greetings Tougaloo College Campus Community!
WELCOME TO THE SUMMER EDITION OF
TOUGALOO THIS WEEK!
As we embark upon the Summer semester, we are continuing our recognition of the Class of 2020 by wishing all of you a wonderful, well-deserved summer break. A special salute to the Golden (50th), Silver (25th) and other classes celebrating reunions. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 2, 2020 for the Commencement Ceremony. We are excited to host this year’s graduation in a manner that will be pleasing to our graduates and safe for everyone. More information will be available soon.

As we monitor Governor Reeves’ Safer-at-Home Executive Order and Mayor Lumumba’s Stay-at-Home Executive Order, we will continue summer school course work utilizing specialized technology and other modes of instruction. The college remains operational via telework as we continue to ensure the academic mission is achieved. Although our employees are working remotely, we will assist students and the public by phone and email.

Summer is a special time at Tougaloo and we want to keep you informed of all the happenings on campus. Although we will continue this form of communication, we will scale back to distributing this campus communication one day a week. Please check your inboxes every Friday morning for your edition of Tougaloo This Week.

Please continue to check this publication, our website and social media pages regarding campus events and activities, as well as our progress during this COVID-19 pandemic.
