Support and Connection is the Goal
We have given out 76 Survivor Baskets since January. That is a lot of people newly diagnosed or facing recurrence and a lot of support. We are working to strengthen our community by offering more support and are hoping to try to provide better ways for survivors to connect with one another. Our Evening of Friendship, which is outlined in our events listed below is an important event to help us achieve this goal. We also have a group on Facebook called the 'TWP Community Support Page.' This is a membership only page for survivors, caregivers and friends of TWP who want to help us provide support. If you are interested, please look up this page and click to join. We also soon hope to launch some type of networking support group for survivors as well. More details to follow on that .
Strengthening our Army with Upcoming Events
Participation in local events strengthens our presence in the community and supports ongoing fundraising initiatives. We count on our TWP Army to keep us going!
On Friday, October 5th, we will once again be a part of the Roberta Mellon Memorial Golf Tournament at Amesbury Golf & Country Club. This tournament is our largest annual fundraiser. We are looking for raffle items as well as sponsors for the tournament. If you would like more information, please email

November 8, 2018 - 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Please join us for an evening of friends, inspiration, connection and learning on Thursday, November 8th at Dolan Financial located at 108 Main Street in Amesbury. We welcome survivors, caregivers, friends of TWP as well as anyone in the community wanting to learn more about us and what we do. Our guest speaker for the evening is Dr. Jagruti Patel from Premier Plastic Surgery of New England. We are honored to have Dr. Patel join us and share her wisdom. Thank you to Dolan Financial for hosting this special evening.
TWP will be starting a new blog series on our website and FB page:   Inspiring the Fight! Over the years, we have heard such personal, uplifting stories from survivors. Some of these stories have been so inspiring, that we feel they should be shared with the rest of our Army. So we are asking survivors and co-survivors to share their experiences with us.  We know that this can be intimidating for some, so we have given you some questions to help motivate Click here for some prompt questions. We can't wait to start publishing your stories!
We would be nowhere without our Army of Volunteers and supporters. Our recent events and thanks go out to: YWCA of Newburyport and all involved in Tri for the YWCA, Marina at Hatters Point, Greg Chorebanian, AHS Class of 2018, Rotary Club of Amesbury, Ruth Duncan/Uncle Eddie's and all involved in Boobfest, Vasa, Dolan Financial, Phil Richard Insurance, Eighteen Friend Street and the hundreds of others who have sent donations, volunteered and supported us in any way. We are so appreciative.
