Grand Opening, West County Family Justice Center!
Learn about the many services of this one-stop collaboration

West County's new Family Justice Center has a permanent home! I hope you'll join me at the center's grand opening this Thursday in Richmond. This is a great chance to learn more about this unique collaborative approach to help victims of abuse and violence.

The Family Justice Center, part of a new countywide network, is a powerful example of multiple public agencies and community organizations working together for a streamlined, convenient, and compassionate approach to help victims of sexual violence, domestic, child, and elder abuse, and human trafficking.

Services  for individuals and families include assistance with legal issues, safety, housing, mental health counseling.

I'm proud of Contra Costa County's proactive approach to helping victims of abuse. The family justice centers are one outcome of the Board of Supervisor's Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence, an initiative adopted over ten years ago.
