Tour de Fat: Legendary as Ever
Grab your handlebars and fasten your seatbelts (metaphorically, of course), because we're about to take you on a ride down memory lane, reliving the unforgettable annual Tour de Fat that had our town buzzing with excitement, laughter, and a whole lot of quirky creativity. This event wasn't just your run-of-the-mill fundraiser; it was a pedal-powered carnival that left a trail of smiles and memories in its wake. READ MORE

New Videos Highlight BFC's Active Living Efforts
BFC was excited to engage with the Larimer County Department of Health and the Built Environment again this summer to build upon the programs it began in 2021. This year, in addition to the continued programming, we developed two videos: 1) highlighting all the programs we administered, and 2) a second that captures the "power" of bicycling and impact the programming has had. You Know Me. I Ride a Bike. - Zack Allison
Zack has been part of the Fort Collins Community since 2008, but that’s not where his cycling story starts. BFC's Tim Wooten met up with Zack at his Bike Fit Studio inside Brave New Wheel, just as he was finishing up a custom bike fitting, one of his many talents. Hear about this, how he started racing bikes at the age of 12 in the Washington, DC area, and how “Riding was a means of exploration and getting out of the neighborhood as a kid." READ MORE

Not Goodbye, Just "See You Around"
In September we're not saying goodbye, but hopefully just a "see you around," to our fearless leader and Executive Director, Dave Dixon, who is leaving for a new opportunity. Over the last four years Dave has not only helped guide us through the pandemic, but has pushed many advocacy initiatives, and helped evolve and expand our youth and bicycle equity and access programming. Dave's last day is September 17th. We wish him well. You'll be missed, Dave!
That said the search for his replacement is on. If you're interested or know of anyone who might be a good fit to help pick up where Dave is leaving off, check out or pass along the job description. LEARN MORE
