Teaching people about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future.
WCC works to protect and preserve wolves in N. America through science-based education, and advocacy. It participates in federal recovery and release programs for two endangered species – the Mexican Gray Wolf and the Red Wolf – of which there are 21 and 12 respectively residing off-exhibit at the WCC compound - which are candidates for wild-release.
Through wolves, WCC teaches the broader message of conservation, ecological balance, and personal responsibility for improved human stewardship of our world.
We will observe three education wolves used by WCC to help teach the public about wolves, their behavior, and their vital role in the environment.
Indoor presentation followed by outdoor observation from bleacher seating.
