We are looking forward to our annual meeting next week. In addition to the general meeting where we’ll provide an overview of the year just finished and look forward to programs and opportunities for FY22-23, we will have four insightful breakout sessions designed to meet the needs of our industry. You’ll gain insights about Cannabis Tourism, Sustainability/Leave No Trace programming, the Cvent platform and integrated digital marketing/media relations. All sessions will be provided by experts and representatives from each platform. We are looking forward to having our industry back in person for this meeting! It’s an opportunity to network and meet the many new tourism and hospitality industry professionals and continue to showcase programming designed to continue our recovery.
We’re also at the time of the year when our crisis planning takes center stage. Please note the upcoming sessions that will help ensure you and your businesses are ready for a crisis. While fire is top of mind, a crisis can take many forms. Preparation is essential to aptly manage any crisis. Sonoma County Tourism also has a “fill in the blank” crisis plan in the partner section of sonomacounty.com. This provides a template for a plan including insert opportunities to provide staffing roles and responsibilities during a crisis.
It’s a spectacular time of year in Sonoma County and we’re working to ensure you have the tools, resources and opportunities to bolster your business. Thank you for your ongoing partnership!

Collaborate, Navigate, Elevate
Join Sonoma County Tourism on September 21 at Sonoma State University for its 2022 Annual Meeting!
Mountain climbers would say Sonoma County is in a "col," the space between two peaks, considered an excellent place for navigation. Finding our way to the next peak will take great strategy, innovation, and collaboration. This meeting will provide insights, inspiration and ways to integrate that will help your business elevate to new heights.
Hear from SCT on its plans for the year ahead to promote Sonoma County to potential visitors and stakeholders. Andrew Leary, from Leave No Trace, will join us to share updates on the innovative partnership between Leave No Trace, Sonoma County Tourism, and Sonoma County Regional Parks. We'll close the general session hearing from Kevin Jorgeson, professional climber and motivational speaker to leave us inspired for the year ahead.
