Great thanks to everyone who completed the partner survey. We know this was a comprehensive set of questions, but your answers help to illuminate our path forward. We’ll provide an overview of that path during tomorrow’s all-industry call. We hope you’ll be able to join us as we look at the most recent consumer sentiment, our upcoming marketing campaign including opportunities for business inclusion and efforts to bring groups back into the destination. We also look inward at resident sentiment and a focus on finding the “right visitor” who will help us protect and preserve Sonoma County. We look forward to working with you all to create a safe, warm and purpose-driven welcome when the time is right. More insights tomorrow!

Power of “RE” Industry Town Hall
As Sonoma County looks to rebuild its economy, Sonoma County Tourism (SCT) is working to create business-building programs and initiatives designed to bring travelers back to the destination and re-energize local small businesses and tourism-facing properties. The recovery plan will be outlined during the “Power of RE” virtual town hall, held via Zoom, tomorrow, Wed. Feb. 24 at 9 a.m. (PST).

During the virtual meeting, SCT will introduce critical initiatives including a new recovery campaign designed to appeal to overnight visitors, a co-operative marketing program that enables partners to reach potential customers, as well as a host of new advertising options available on SCT’s marketing channels.

The meeting also will provide the latest consumer sentiment trends, group and meeting planner insights and steps being taken to reengage the community in conversations around the value of tourism. Woven throughout the meeting will be insights into the organization’s commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. Register here

There’s Still Time to Help Fight Food Insecurity with REFB
We still have slots available to volunteer on March 4, 2021 for our Tourism Cares event benefiting the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Food insecurity has long been a year-round struggle, but the economic fallout from the coronavirus has created a need unlike anything in recent memory.

Whether donating time, food, or money, any form of help can make a world of difference for the thousands of vulnerable children, seniors, and adults requiring fresh food, groceries, and meals in Sonoma County. Please click here to learn more about how you can help.
2021 Outlook Forum Content Library
Visit California is kindly making its 2021 Outlook Forum available to stream on demand (for free!) through March 31. Whether you’d like to learn how to cultivate sustainable tourism experiences, hear destination leaders discuss improving emergency preparedness, or simply enjoy a fireside chat with Kevin Costner, the entire library of content is yours to experience here
