Sonoma County Tourism Cares is delighted to partner with Conservation Works on a native grasslands planting event at Paradise Ridge Winery on Friday, March 17 from 10am-noon. We invite our hospitality partners to join us as we plant native grasses (which helps prevent soil erosion and even assists in carbon sequestration) and milkweed (an important food source for the threatened monarch butterfly).
Those who join us will get to hear from experts at Conservation Works about the value of native plants and learn about its important role in the preservation of our ecosystem.
Volunteers will meet in front of the Paradise Ridge Winery tasting room at 4545 Thomas Lake Harris Drive, Santa Rosa, CA, 95403. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear sun-protective clothing, hat, and comfortable close-toed shoes. Work tools and gloves will be provided by Conservation Works.
