Visit High Point Introduces New Home Furnishings and Design Guide With 100+ Retail Stores
Visit High Point's new furniture guide now offers 100+ furniture stores for the public to shop within a 90 mile radius. These stores are located in High Point, Greensboro, Jamestown, Thomasville, Winston-Salem, Lexington, Archdale, Asheboro, Carthage, Kernersville, Trinity, Burlington, Graham, Bermuda Run and King.

HPxD and The High Point Showroom Association Merge
The two complementary groups of flagship showrooms, the High Point Showroom Association (HPSA) and High Point By Design (HPxD), were founded independently to support interior designers' more frequently on demand buying patterns by opening their showrooms in between the celebrated twice yearly High Point Market. These two flagships share a vision to establish High Point as a year-round center for design and creativity so they have merged together and will now solely be known as HPxD.

Visit High Point Recruits HPU Intern, Madeline Baricevic
Madeline Baricevic will be doing her Spring Semester Internship with Visit High Point. She comes to us from High Point University, where she will graduate in May 2021 with a Human Relations Major. She will be continuing her education at HPU for her Masters in Communication and Leadership. Madeline has interned for Thomas Built Buses, was a Venue Coordinator for Summerfield Farms and works Campus Concierge at HPU. As an intern for Visit High Point she will be assisting with press releases, creative content including blogs and itineraries, as well as researching makers in High Point and compiling content. If she reaches out to you please offer her a warm welcome as we are excited to have her as a part of the Visit High Point team!

High Point Is About To Get A Little More Spicy!
Hot Shots Distributing Inc., which bills itself as the world's largest hot sauce distributor, has announced that it will be relocating its manufacturing and distribution operations from Charlotte, NC to High Point. The company will invest $565,000 in building renovations, eventually creating 21 new jobs. The investment in Southwest High Point is part of the city's strategy to revitalize the area and bring quality jobs to High Point.

High Point Theatre Hosts Community Blood Drive
As the pandemic continues, area hospitals are in need of increased blood supply. On Tuesday, February 23rd, High Point Theatre will host a community blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Schedule your appointment today as all who complete a successful donation will be given a $10 Visa gift card and a COVID19 antibody test!

Latest Destinations Analysts American Travel Sentiment Update
For the first time, optimism about the course the pandemic will take in the United States over the next month significantly outweighs pessimism. Nevertheless, Americans are frequently experiencing burn out and cabin fever and thus may need travel more than ever. About half of Americans anticipate taking at least one leisure trip within the next 3 months. In looking at the accommodations they expect to stay in on these upcoming trips, hotels are most common. Nearly one third plan to stay in a full-service 3 or 4-star hotel, while just under a quarter plan to stay in a 5-star luxury hotel.

Visit High Point, in partnership with Raise-the-Grade, will be hosting a ServSafe Class next week. Space is limited due to social distancing guidelines so early registration is encouraged.

High Point Museum Hosts Fifth Annual Family Game Night
Friday, February 19th | 5pm-7pm
Gather your family and join in on a fun evening full of virtual games hosted by the Museum staff. Each “game room” hosts a different virtual game featuring Bingo, Jeopardy, and more. This free event will be fun for children of all ages. You provide the snacks, and they’ll provide the prizes to the winners of the games!
