In 1982 the Bay Minette Jaycees had a brilliant idea that would soon become a beloved tradition - Christmas on the Square. The original group of visionaries who brought Christmas on the Square to life included Pete Pederson, Ann Pederson, Christy King, Jan Paul, Sharon Clark, Mary Pryzborksi, Sonny Dobbins, and Mike Phillips, among countless others who contributed their time and effort to make this event a success. As the years went by, this event grew in popularity, attracting more and more people. Eventually, the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce took over the production, ensuring that this festive celebration continued to thrive.
After an incredible 41 years, this festival has turned into more than just a tradition. With over 100 vendors and now spanning two days, it has become a must-attend destination event for people from all over. Rain or shine, vendors from far and wide gather to be a part of our cherished festival. The event this year will be held Friday December 1st from 11:00am-8:00pm and Saturday December 2nd from 8:00am-7:00pm!
