SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Town Board is soliciting town residents who would like to be Trustees in the newly approved library. Trustees will be in charge of day-to-day oversight of the new library, hiring a Library Director and submitting our application to get chartered by the Regents in Albany.
There will be five Trustees serving staggered five year terms. Trustees serve on a voluntary basis. It is very helpful for a Library Board to contain the following diverse skills:
accounting - business - education - fundraising - engineering - technology - legal - knowledge of funding and library grant writing - marketing and public relations - art, history, writing, dancing or any of the cultural arts, etc.
This is an opportunity to create something from the ground up that will forever be a wonderful resource and special destination for our town and community.
