The aerial view of the Town Center, dated March 6, shows that construction on the retail shops and restaurants is nearly complete. Several restaurants, including the new Cinebistro, are now open. Work on the Town Green continues. Use this link for more Town Center news.

Town Center
Construction on our new Town Center continues. As some of you have probably already discovered, a number of restaurants and several retail shops are already open including the newly-opened Cinebistro. And there are more to come.

CarMax Opening Customer Center, Bringing 300+ Jobs
CarMax announced recently it is opening a Customer Experience Center (CEC) in Peachtree Corners and bringing 300+ jobs here. It is the company's first stand-alone CEC.
City Recognized for its Smart City Laboratory Project

Peachtree Corners has received a prestigious award recognizing its innovative plans to develop and build an intelligent mobility and smart city laboratory.

Smart Cities Connect annually recognize global smart cities projects, honoring the most innovative and influential work. Read More

Intelligent Mobility Test Track Update
Work on the 1.5-mile Smart City Transportation Lab is underway on Technology Parkway.

The city has partnered with Sprint to create a 5G state-of-the-art living transportation laboratory called Curiosity™ Lab at Peachtree Corners .

The test track will allow new intelligent mobility technologies to be tested and evaluated in real-world driving conditions.

MARTA Referendum: Voters will cast their votes in the upcoming MARTA referendum on March 19 at their polling location where they vote for county, state and federal elections.

Please note, the MARTA referendum is a county-wide vote, so there will be no voting at City Hall. If you are unsure of your polling location, please access the My Voter Page on the State of Georgia website.
Technology Park Property Redeveloped into Trendy Loft Office Space
Redevelopment of old Honeywell property.
The redevelopment of the former Honeywell International office complex at 125 Technology Parkway is expected to begin next month.

The building, constructed in 1971, will be converted into creative loft offices with outdoor amenity space. Brightree LLC, will relocate its Lawrenceville headquarters to the new space by the end of the year. Read More
City Recognized as 'Tree City USA' 4th Consecutive Year
Peachtree Corners was among 20 Georgia cities recently honored as one of the state’s “Tree City USA” communities. Residents Lorri Backer and Hilary Wilson, along with Salim Maalouf, the city’s Land Development Inspector, represented the city during the event. Read More

Mark Your Calendars
The city's annual free electronics recycling and paper shredding event will be held at the Peachtree Corners City Hall on Saturday, April 13.

How Do I Obtain a Building Permit?

If you are planning a building or remodeling project in the City of Peachtree Corners, chances are you will need to apply for a building permit. 

Applications for building permits are required to be submitted for installations regulated by the Georgia State Minimum Building Codes if any owner or authorized agent intends to:
  • construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure
  • erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system

Veterans Monument Dedication Set for June 15

Progress continues on the Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument. All of the benches have been installed as well as most of the wall caps, and the granite facades for the sculptures. We are working on getting the interactive kiosk and app developed and in production.  Read More
Summer Coding Camps at Prototype Prime
For the first time a kids summer coding camp will be offered by Kids 4 Coding. The summer camps will be held at Prototype Prime. Full and half day camps offered June 1-26 for ages 7-16.

Students learn to create and code games, mobile apps, electronics, websites, robots, drones and more using programming languages like Python and JavaScript. Read More
