What’s New at the Town Center
It is hard to believe that the city’s new Town Center and Town Green opened just two years ago. Its popularity with the community has soared since April 27, 2019, when the ribbon was cut at the grand opening celebration.
Nearly every day you will find people sitting in the chairs on the teak deck that overlooks the green, children playing in the grassy area, climbing, sliding in the play area and enjoying the splash pad. The shops and restaurants continue drawing people from our community and neighboring towns.
It is apparent that the development of the Town Center and Town Green has been a success and has accomplished what we intended – to provide a gathering place for the community.

City Considering New Contract with Tax Commissioner
|
|
When Tiffany Porter officially took office as the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner the first of the year, it ended the contract that eight Gwinnett municipalities, including Peachtree Corners, had with her predecessor for the billing and collection of ad valorem property tax and special assessment fees (streetlight, stormwater, and sanitation).
And since Peachtree Corners’ property owners pay no city taxes due to its zero (0) millage rate, the tax commissioner’s office had only been collecting the special assessment fees on the city’s 14,000 parcels resulting in nearly $5 million collected annually on behalf of the city. Read More
