The Town Council reviewed improvements to the Code of Conduct for Town Council members and decorum rules for meetings. Kudos to our amazing staff - Interim Manager Frank Davila and Caitlin Copeland-Rodriguez who held our first Town Council meeting with an interim Town Manager in place - Great Team Work!

Selecting a New Town Manager - Key Dates

Our consultant, Colin Baenziger & Associates fielded applications for the Town of Juno Beach Town Manager position from approximately 55 candidates. We are fortunate to have outstanding candidates who are eminently qualified for the role.

November 20th, Wednesday at 5:30 pm, the Town Council will review resumes and information provided from a short list of ten candidates for our Town Manager position. Click Here for Meeting Backup Material The Council will decide from the short list of candidates who should be interviewed.

December 3rd, at 4pm, Reception for Town Manager candidates who have been selected to be interviewed for Town manager, held at Town Hall.

December 4th, at 3pm a public meeting where the candidates for Town Manager will be interviewed at a meeting open to the public. Prior to the public meeting, the candidates would have been vetted in individual interviews with each Town Council member.

December 6th, 10am, Town Council meeting where the new Town Manager will be selected.

We have a Manager-Council style of municipal government. The Town Manager acts as the Chief Executive Officer of our Town. The Town Council sets policies that are executed by the Town Manager and the staff. The Town Manager is a critical role in the future direction of our Town.

Planning and Zoning Board Reviews on 18th at 4pm

The Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Board siting as the Architecture Review Board will review two single family home proposals. One project is to add a second story to an existing Mediterranean home at 220 Ocean Drive. The second project, a new Modern single-family residence proposed for 451 Neptune Road is shown here. Pelican Lake North Gazebo in Need of Maintenance Repairs

The wooden pilings under the gazebo are in need of repair. The north gazebo will be closed until it can be repaired or replaced. We are all saddened by this inconvenience. Safety First.

Code of Conduct for Town Council

There was a decision to revisit adding "enforcement mechanisms" to the Code of Conduct to assure professionalism by Town Council both on and off the dais. Len Rubin, Town Attorney in a previously provided draft “Code of Conduct” for Town Council members suggested enforcement provisions such as admonishment - verbal reminder, written warning, and censure or formal Council statement of reprimand. This will come back to Council.

Decorum Rules for Public Meetings - Adopted

Rules of Decorum for our Town Council meetings were adopted unanimously with a few minor changes to increase public comment opportunities.

Your input and opinions: Public engagement is a vital part of the work that the Town Council does for our community. Your comments and thoughts are encouraged and welcomed. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Next Town Council Election March 11, 2025 Re-elect Town Council member Diana Davis to Seat #5, the only seat on the ballot in 2025. I was elected last year for the remaining one-year of a three year term for Seat #5. The election in March 2025, will be for a three-year term.

The municipal election in March 2026, will have three seats on the ballot. Mayor Peggy Wheeler's seat, and both the Council seats of #1 Marianne Hosta and #3 Jacob Rosengartin will be on the ballot in 2026.
