Election Results and Information
Thank you for voting at the Advance Polls and on Election Day! Over 5,000 people voted - a 48% increase over 2017.

Congratulations to our newly elected Council and thank you to outgoing Councillors for your dedicated service to our community. Official results are posted on the Town's website: highriver.ca/election.

The Official Swearing In Ceremony and annual Organizational Meeting will be streamed live, starting at 3 pm on October 25. Watch the Town's website and social media for ongoing updates.
Halloween BOOgie & Costume Contest at the Rec Centre
Come and boogie with us at this year’s
Halloween Family Dance! On Friday, October
29th from 5-7pm, join us for a night of crafts, spooky costumes, games and more.

Prizes will be awarded to the best family costume as well as individual child, youth, and adults!

Jumpstart and Food Bank Donations are
encouraged and will be accepted at entry.
Current COVID restrictions will apply and are subject to change by the time of the event.

The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex is following the REP program and entry requirements are needed to participate.
Council Meetings
Monday, October 25, 2021
Tune in at 3 pm on October 25, 2021 for the Swearing In Ceremony of the new Town of High River Council. Senator Tannas will be in attendance to lead the swearing in of all Council members. The ceremony will be followed by the
annual Organization Meeting of Council.

Sunshine Lake Gazebo Replacement
A new gazebo for all to enjoy! We are pleased to share that work to replace the Sunshine Lake gazebo started this week with demolition of the old structure. Work will continue through December. If
weather cooperates the new gazebo will be
completed in time for Christmas and winter
festivities! The new gazebo will be a timber frame structure similar in size to the existing gazebo. Please note will be a trail closure adjacent to the worksite in place until the project is completed. Thank you for your patience during the construction of the new gazebo.

Show Us What Makes You Fall for High River!
Residents of all ages are encouraged to join
in on the Town’s fall festivities! Until November 3rd, the Town of High River is hosting a Fall Photo Contest. We are looking for photos that capture the fun, beauty, and uniqueness of Fall in High River.

The top three (3) winners in each age group
will receive an amazing prize package and will see their photo showcased on the new Town of High River website.

Fall Clean-Up
Residential Waste Collection
As the Fall clean-up begins, the Town wants to ensure residents are disposing of yard waste correctly. Residents can take all their grass, leaves, branches, and pumpkins to the yard waste drop off center located at Operational Services at 640 7 Street N.W.

Seasonal Safety Tips
Holiday season is finally here, and the High River Fire Department has put together a list of safety tips.

“It is important at this time of year to check and replace batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors,” notes Fire Chief Cody Zebedee.

This fall, the Fire Department is starting a series of Fire Flash public education articles, beginning with a detailed look at the importance of learning the sounds of fire safety.
