Events & Activities
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Holmes Library Garden: Friday, November 5th at 5pm : Celebrate with Boonton Main Street Inc. and The Boonton Holmes Public Library as they unveil this beautifully renovated outdoor space in the downtown district. Boonton Book Festival: Saturday, November 13th from 10:00am - 4:30pm: Come out and celebrate the written word in its many forms in Boonton's first annual book festival! There will be author presentations, book signings, cosplay, books for purchase, and even some literary-themed lunch specials at participating restaurants! Flu Clinic: Tuesday, November 16th from 3:30pm - 6:30pm: The Town of Boonton Health Department is holding a free flu clinic in the South Boonton Fire House (100 Washington Street). Registration is required. To register, call 973-402-9410 ext. 631 and leave a voice mail. You will receive a call back confirming your registration.
Santa Run: Saturday, November 20th at 9:00am:Boonton Parks & Recreation 2021 Santa Run is a fun and festive way to kick off the Holiday Season. Runners and walkers of all levels and ages are invited to participate and strollers are welcome. Santa suits are not required, but are highly encouraged. Read more about the Santa Run here. Register here. Please note that traffic may be disrupted and/or detoured on the following roads during the race: Main St, Highland Ave, Lathrop Ave, Maple Ave, Kanouse St, and the Park Ave Extension.
Boonton Fire Department Christmas Parade: Saturday, November 27th at 1pm: Back for 2021, the Fire Department is happy to announce the return of the Christmas Parade and Santa.See the parade's Facebook Page for more information here.
Gingerbread House Contest: Judging to take place at Tree Lighting on December 2nd: Join in on the festive fun! There will be three categories, each judged separately - adults (12 and up), youth (under 12), and group (teams of 2 or more). Registration is required before midnight on November 24th. Upcoming Elections: This election season, there are three ways to vote - in person on election day, vote by mail, or in person early voting. Prepare for election day by learning more about your options. Those voting by mail can drop off their VBM ballots in the secure drop box located near the South Boonton Firehouse at the back of Town Hall.
Town Hall Closed Veterans' Day: Municipal Offices will be closed in observance of Veterans' Day on Thursday, November 11th. However, curbside garbage collection will take place as usual.
Town Hall Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday: Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th. Garbage pickup will not take place on Thursday and will instead take place on Friday, the 26th.

COVID-19 During Flu Season: The season for colds and flu is upon us which means a heightened risk of contracting COVID-19. Rabies Clinic: The fall rabies clinic has been postponed. Use this link to find rabies clinics in neighboring communities. The Boonton Health Department plans to hold another clinic in February, 2022. Check the health department website for updates.

Planning and Zoning:
The Town's Spatial Data Logic (SDL) Portal is now live! Boonton residents can use this portal to access and submit forms directly online, request public records, and to keep track of their property's profile with the Town. New users can register here (just make sure to choose Boonton Town and NOT Boonton Township). Returning users can login here.
Board of Health:
