News about Town:

Adams Market is now taking customers' temperature at the door. The aisle are one way only, and the checkout is marked and plexiglassed for social distancing. They have changed their hours to close earlier so that they have time to clean everything before restocking the shelves. I believe they are also starting a grocery delivery service - check in with the store for details.

River Valley Provisions in Tylerville has curbside pickup. Order in the morning, pick up groceries same day. Check their website or facebook page for instructions.

Please remember that Chester residents can only use the Deep River Transfer Station for recycling and bulky waste. We do not have a contract with them for household garbage. The Town Clerk's office has a helpful flyer showing what is and is not allowed for Chester at the transfer station. I will add it to the town wide email in the next day or so.

Thanks to all who frequented our merchants and restaurants this weekend. Let's keep them going as best we can. Most of the retail shops have websites or facebook pages with ordering online. They have been very creative during this shutdown, but need all of our help to keep going!

A very Happy Easter and Passover to all who celebrate.

Be well,

Lauren S. Gister
