Main Street Project Phase III Update

If you are not already aware, the construction contract has been awarded to Colonna Concrete and Asphalt Paving Company out of West Haven, CT. Luckily, construction is still able to happen and Colonna is prepared to get moving on the project. We are working on the final submissions of insurance and other documents and then the project will begin on April 20th. As of now, the first areas to be worked on will be the drainage (catch basins and piping, along with a stormwater separator) in the area of Main Street by the flagpole and the filling in of the voids underneath the sidewalk near Simons and Dina Varano. Traffic will be alternating on the narrow portion of the street during this time. Businesses and tenants in the immediate construction area will be contacted individually prior to the work beginning. Normal construction hours will be Monday through Friday between 10-5 to begin with. Any deviations will be communicated in advance.

A reminder will go out again late next week with more details.

Be well,
