PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO CBS MUNICIPAL PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
Town Council is considering a request from the property owner to re-zone the property at 240-258 Anchorage Road. Council sought initial feedback from the community on this proposal in April and May 2022. Council has agreed to revise the draft amendment documents to ensure preservation of the stream that runs through the property.
Before proceeding, Council will consider any further feedback from the community. The request would require amendments to both the Conception Bay South Municipal Plan and Development Regulations. In general terms, the amendments would re-designate and re-zone land located at 240-258 Anchorage Road from the “Residential Low Density” to the “Residential Medium Density” and “Open Space Conservation” designations and zones. The proposed amendment is intended to accommodate the development of a residential subdivision with two streets and a number of infill lots on both Anchorage Road and Minerals Road.
