The Town is in Step 3 of the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, which came into effect on July 16. As vaccination rates continue to rise and COVID-19 cases fall, the Town is now reopening some facilities for public use. The blue ice pad at the Georgina Ice Palace is open for third-party bookings only and the green ice pad will reopen in early September.

Do you love farm-fresh products and supporting local businesses? If yes, you do not want to miss Georgina’s Field to Table farm tour event on Aug. 21, 2021. Participants can expect to experience the same great tour as years past with the addition of a culinary component. Many of this year's farms have teamed up with other local businesses to bring you a complete field-to-table experience.

Georgina residents can still get a 2021 parking pass on site at De La Salle Beach, Holmes Point and Willow Beach, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Residents will need to show their driver’s licence, or proof of residency, and provide their licence plate number. Only one parking pass will be issued per vehicle on site. The Town of Georgina is holding virtual Council meetings. These meetings will be broadcast as usual through the Town’s live streaming tool.

Public participation by phone is available. A pre-registration form is required to be submitted to the Clerks Division by noon the day before the meeting. The form can be found at georgina.ca/CouncilMeetings.

Join our recreation staff at a local park near you for some summertime fun at one of our Outdoor Park Programs. Yoga, Zumba and Bootcamp classes are available through September. Try out one or sign up for multiple weeks of your favourite workout. These programs are part of the Georgina Fitness Pass. Drop-ins will not be accepted.

The Town has waived the requirement for bag tags until further notice. The bag limit of five bags/items remains in place. Latex gloves and masks go in the garbage lined with a plastic bag.
