Town of Maggie Valley FY21-22 Proposed Budget
On Thursday May 20, 2021 Town Manager Nathan Clark, ICMA-CM presented his proposed budget to the Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen.

Selected highlights of the budget include
  • Town Tax Value $476,232,233
  • Total Town General Fund Revenues/Expenditures $3,068,510
  • Total Sewer Fund Revenues/Expenditures $1,231,086
  • Town Tax Rate has been decreased from $0.43 to $0.40
  • General Fund is debt free for second year consecutive year
  • Sewer Use Rates will increase 6.25% across all residential/commercial categories while campground users will see their sewer user fees increase by 10%.

The Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen will conducting a Budget Work Session as part of their monthly Agenda Setting meeting on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 9:30 in Town Hall Board Room

On Tuesday June 8, 2021 at 6:30pm the Town of Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen have announced a Public Hearing on the proposed budget -with the Aldermen having the option of adopting the budget that same night.

Maggie Valley Featured on WRAL
In May, the Town of Maggie Valley was featured by WRAL TV's "Out & About" Featured Segment. This four and half minute segment focused in on what our Town has to offer from a tourist and lifestyle perspective. Big thank you to the Haywood County TDA, Maggie Valley Chamber of Commerce, Crawford, Bearwaters Creekside, Elevated Mountain Distillery, Different Drummer Pottery and dozens of other businesses that open their doors to make this video personify our Town's welcoming spirit and eclectic charm. WRAL is Raleigh, North Carolina's local NBC affiliate.
Town Manager Earns Credential Designation from the International City/County Management Association
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Nathan Clark, Town Manager of Town of Maggie Valley (NC), recently received the Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association. Mr. Clark is one of over 1,300 local government management professionals currently credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program.

Memorial Holiday Schedule:

Monday, May 31st, 2021 – We honor all the military personnel who have died in active military service on Memorial Day. 

The Town of Maggie Valley offices will be closed on Memorial Day.
The Haywood County Landfill is closed, so our trash and recycle pick-up schedule will be delayed one day. 

Trash Pick-up will be on Tuesday from 7am until 5pm. Recycle pick-up will be on Wednesday from 7am to 5pm.  

Town Services will resume on Tuesday, June 1st.
