We are celebrating #NationalPoliceWeek in the Town of Upper Marlboro, and recognizing the hard work of the officers and staff of the Upper Marlboro Police Department.

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week.

Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

The Board of Town Commissioners, with the help of Better City LLC, has narrowed the potential new Town of Upper Marlboro Logo to four choices. It is now up to the residents to select a winner!

This new logo will appear on Town signage, banners, communication, apparel, and more! It will not replace the Town's seal for official Town documents and communications.
