FALL CLEANUP

NEW TRAILS!!

Trail connectors have been completed and are now ready for use at the following locations:

• Trail along the retention pond from 27th Street to 5th Avenue
• Trail connector along 27th Street by the Best Western towards Tim Hortons
• Trail connector from Bevans Nature area to 10th Avenue

There is still some backfilling and seeding to do along the trails edges in some spots but the trails themselves can be utilized.  Garbage and recycle containers will be added in certain areas along these new stretches of trail over time.

FIRE DEPARTMENT IS RECRUITING

The Wainwright Fire & Rescue Department is a well-trained volunteer department comprised of 29 members who are responsible for the provision of fire protection services, fire prevention programs and rescue services.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Department contact the Fire Chief. FALSE ALARMS

The Fire Department has been responding to a large quantity of false alarms. Our firefighters' time is precious so please make efforts to eliminate false alarms and have your security company contact you first. 

Recurring false alarms will result in charges to the homeowner/resident.

2022 PROPERTY INSPECTIONS

This notice is to inform Town of Wainwright ratepayers that reinspection of properties for assessment purposes will commence the week of May 16, 2022. Properties west of 9 Street, east of 14 St/south of 8 Ave, and south of 1 Ave will be reinspected. In addition, any other properties requiring review throughout the Town of Wainwright will also be reinspected.

Inspections will be completed by Wainwright Assessment Group Ltd. between May 16 and December 31.  Assessors will be onsite and show I.D. when occupants are present and leave notes in doors when no one is at the property
