Towne Square design moves forward
After extensive public and stakeholder consultation, the town presented a final preferred design concept "Turning Leaves" for Towne Square at a public meeting held Tuesday, April 9.

Highlights of the design include:
  • a central lawn area
  • new tree plantings
  • assorted horticultural garden beds
  • new prominent water feature
  • paved, accessible ramp
  • a mixture of fixed and flexible seating
The design concept is expected to go to Council for final approval in May.

Towne Square is an important space for both residents and the business community. A new design for Towne Square will enhance the vibrancy of the downtown core and provide more opportunities for public events.
