LOOKING FOR A TRULY MEANINGFUL HOLIDAY GIFT?
This season, give a loved one the gift of a lasting legacy in our community! The Maple Shade Business and Economic Development Commission’s Paver Drive offers you the opportunity to create a custom-engraved paver, installed along Main Street in Spring 2025. Honor a special date, celebrate a family milestone, or commemorate someone dear—these pavers will become a timeless tribute that friends and family can appreciate for years to come. To make your gesture even more memorable, we provide Certificates of Honor at no additional charge. Present this heartfelt certificate to your recipient, letting them know their name and story will forever be a part of Maple Shade’s fabric.

BUDDY THE ELF BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER TO MAPLE SHADE!
On November 30th, Small Business Saturday, Maple Shade got a special surprise—Buddy the Elf! Santa himself sent Buddy to our town to spread holiday cheer and celebrate our amazing local businesses. Buddy spent the day visiting businesses, meeting residents, and sharing his contagious festive spirit. From photo ops to laughs, he brought smiles to everyone he met.
Check out some of the fun Buddy got into during his Maple Shade adventure!

And that’s a wrap! Just like that, 2024 is almost behind us. The Maple Shade Police Department has not slowed down this Fall.
We continued our Fill-the-Truck Food Event which included local businesses and community organizations. We collected over 3,000 non-perishable items for the Maple Shade Food Bank during our drives. We wrapped up at the Maple Shade Custard Stand on a November 13th. In keeping with our tradition, it was a chilly night. Thank you to Johnny Fischer for braving the cold with us and offering his parking lot.
|
Thank you to Bentley Truck Services and Nelson Wiest for supplying the truck and driving it!
The winner of the community- based organizations are:
1st Place: Maple Shade Cheerleading
2nd Place: Maple Shade Girl’s Softball
3rd Place: Amped to Dance
4th Place: Fierce Diversity
Congratulations to our winners and thank you to the Maple Shade Police Chaplains Association for donating $2,500 for our winners.

4th Place - Fierce Diversity
Special thank you to all of our businesses who helped support this event; BJ’s Wholesale, Stonhard, Eastern Lift Truck Company, RISE Chiropractic, and Immanuel Baptist Church.
When you see one of our officers who is not “clean shaven”, please thank them for their donation to the American Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse. These officers made a generous donation in order to don their beards and mustaches during the month of November. | The Maple Shade PBA raised funds for Toys for Tots at the 2024 National Night Out Event. The Maple Shade Police Chaplains Association matched that donation and were able to donate over $500 to Toys for Tots. If you are interested in supporting the Maple Shade Police Chaplains Association, please check out their website at https://www.mspolicechaplain.com.
Tis the season, for vehicle and residential burglaries.
Do not fall victim to those who prey on others during the holiday season.
- Remove valuable items and gifts from your vehicle
- Lock your vehicle all of the time
- Keep doors and windows locked to your home
- Keep your home well- lit to deter criminals
| |
The Holiday Season can be a difficult time for some. If you are battling depression, know that you are not alone. Help is a phone call away. Please call or text 988 if you are facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug concerns or just need someone to talk to.
The Maple Shade Police Department wishes you and yours
a happy, healthy, safe holiday season!

WATER UPDATE
Water System Improvements on Rose Avenue are scheduled to begin in December/January. New water main will be installed on Rose Ave, from E Woodcrest to W Woodcrest. Advanced notice will be given to residents before the project begins.
The water meters and radio transmitters are property of Maple Shade Township. It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure the meters and transmitters are not removed or tampered with. The radio transmitters are typically installed on the outside of the house. If you are planning to replace your siding, please contact the utility to schedule an appointment to have it removed and reinstalled after the work is complete. If the radio transmitter is missing, a fee may be charged for the installation of a replacement.
| |
WATER SERVICE LINE INVENTORY UPDATE
Per NJDEP regulations, all water systems must identify the water service lines that supply water to residential and commercial buildings. In 2022, the Township sent out 2 rounds of letters asking those with unknown lines to contact the utility to make an appointment. At that time the unknown lines total was over 500, our inventory currently stands at 168.
We need your help to complete the inventory. If you received a letter, please contact the utility to set up an appointment. The appointment takes just a few minutes, otherwise an excavation may be required to determine the service line material. The current inventory can be viewed HERE.
