WHAT IS THE MAPLE SHADE PBA LOCAL 267?
Not sure what Maple Shade PBA Local 267 is? PBA 267 is the Police Benevolent Association that your thirty-eight Maple Shade Police Officers belong to. They are supported by many MSPD retirees. PBA 267 is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that donates to many local worthy causes, as well as sponsors many local events hosted by The Maple Shade Police Department like the National Night Out and Project Santa. PBA 267 also sponsors many local sports teams, Maple Shade’s Step and Dance team, and donates to local fundraisers, such as Mini-Thon hosted by Maple Shade High School.
Our PBA may be small but we are able to have a huge impact on our community, including an annual $4,000 in scholarships to Maple Shade High School seniors in memory of former officers. Our annual Project Santa covers the entire cost of the holidays for at least one Maple Shade family that is down on their luck, donating over $3,000 worth of gifts every year.
The PBA also generously donates through efforts like “Beards for the Year” which benefits The Maple Shade Food Bank and supports Toys for Tots in Burlington County annually. The PBA is able to do all of these things because of the generous donations from our member and our supporters.
Our PBA wants you to know that we will never solicit funds over the phone. We only ask for your support through our annual fund drive mailer. The men and women of Maple Shade PBA 267 appreciate your support and your generosity.

With the cold temperatures around, the Utility has helped a few homeowners with frozen pipes or water meter issues. The main issue in most of these cases is that not enough heat from the home was circulating in the area where the water meters are kept, which led to some pipes freezing.
Some Tips to Prevent Frozen Pipes
1. Turn off the water to outside faucets.
2. Close outside vents, crawl spaces and doors.
3. Repair broken windows or doors.
4. Seal any holes or cracks, especially those in your cabinets under any sinks.
5. If you plan to be away, keep the heat on in the house.

On Tuesday, December 31st, the Business and Economic Development Commission, in collaboration with local businesses and our Recreation Department, sponsored Maple Shade’s first Noon-Year’s Eve Party at the Municipal Building. It was a fantastic way for our town’s youngest residents and their families to ring in the New Year—right at 12:00 noon!
The celebration included arts and crafts, a face painter, a delicious lunch courtesy of Tony Roni’s, and, of course, a festive countdown and balloon drop. This fun, family-friendly event helped connect our residents with local businesses, municipal staff, and neighbors.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and Happy New Year, Maple Shade!
