2020 Budget
The Council of the Township of South-West Oxford passed the 2020 budget at the meeting on January 7th, 2020. The budget was passed with a 3.37% increase to the taxation levy.
Notice of Joint Public Meeting: Municipal Boundary Restructuring
Notice is hereby given that the Township of South-West Oxford and the Town of Ingersoll will be considering a proposal to adjust their mutual boundary within the County of Oxford. The Town of Ingersoll proposes to expand its boundary to encompass portions or the entirety of Part Lot 24, 25 Broken Front Concession West Oxford, Part Lot 17, 18, 24, 25 Concession 1 West Oxford, Part Lot 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 Concession 2 West Oxford for additional industrial and residential land purposes.

The area of land that is proposed to be annexed from the Township to the Town effective January 1, 2021 is illustrated in the image above (shaded in pink).
Create Your Own Roadside Emergency Kit
Emergencies can happen at anytime, anywhere, leaving you stranded in your vehicle, home or workplace. People are better able to cope when they have a plan. If you have roadside assistance and a cell phone signal, you can call for help. However, when it comes to commuting or traveling long distances, a roadside emergency kit can mean the difference between getting back on the road and being stranded for hours. A roadside emergency kit is the one item that every vehicle should have and yet many of us don't carry the basic items to help us get back on the road quickly and safely.
 
When assembling your emergency kit, keep in mind that it should be tailored to the age and condition of your vehicle, your driving patterns and the weather.

The Township of South-West Oxford Fire and Emergency Services Safety Message for February includes tips for winter driving.
Load restrictions apply on select roadways in the Township every year from March 1st to April 30th . During this period of time vehicles are restricted to a weight limit of 5 tonnes per axle unless previously exempted under the Highway Traffic Act. Township roads will be monitored during this time frame and will be strictly enforced by Township staff and the Ontario Provincial Police. 
Please help do your part in protecting the roads in th e spring thaw season.
2020 Dog Tags Are Now Available
Dog Tags should be purchased at the beginning of each year. The price per tag will increase by $5.00 each after April 30th, 2020.

Tax Billings
2020 interim property tax due dates are February 28, 2020 & May 29, 2020. Interim Tax Bills are based on your prior year's taxes.
