Affordable Housing
The Affordable Housing web page on the Township of Verona site attempts to provide a simple explanation of a highly complicated issue. The goal of this information is to explain the history and current state of affordable housing obligations in the State of New Jersey and in the Township.

Verona Police Remind Everyone to Set the Pace for Traffic Safety

We encourage our residents to be a part of this safety initiative by their actions.
Always park in a lawful and safe manner. Watch for parking too close to an intersection, parking in a crosswalk, parking in drop off/pick up zone near schools or too close to driveways!

Maintain a safe speed . If our residents set the pace, additional traffic will then be forced to comply especially in our neighborhoods

Use marked crosswalks when crossing roadways and crossing guards around schools . Our students will follow the
example that is set for them. Crossing mid-block or between parked cars is dangerous any time of the day .

Demonstrate that our community cares by setting the example.

Finance & Tax Office

Did you know?

The Finance Office is responsible for the billing and collection for over 5,300 tax parcels and over 4,200 water and sewer accounts each quarter. Over 70 million dollars is collected annually.

Currently, there are a number of options available to Verona residents that simplify quarterly payments and allow easier access to billing information.

Automatic Debit program , introduced in 2018, allows residents to enroll a bank account from which payments for their quarterly water, sewer, and/or tax bills are electronically deducted.

WIPP, (Web Inquiry and Payment Portal) is available 24/7 and is a convenient source of information. Residents can use the WIPP not only to make payments by e-check, credit card, or debit card, but also to view billing and payment history and to reprint bills.
