If you’re nostalgic for toy trains or mesmerized by model railroads, be sure to mark your calendar for Kent County Public Library’s 6 th Annual Toy Train & Model Railroad Expo!

Bob and David Singer will be displaying their magnificent operating layouts featuring tinplate trains from bygone eras. Train enthusiasts of all ages are welcome. This event is free and open to everyone.

How to Make a Tiny Book!

This beginner’s class will teach you the basics of book binding as you learn how to craft your own tiny book. The end result could be used as a bullet journal, glamorous to-do list, or handmade gift. 

All supplies will be provided for this FREE program.

Excited to ring in the new year, but not sure you can make it to midnight? This family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve Celebration is just the place for early birds!

There will be crafts, snacks, balloons and more during this special countdown to noontime.

PNC Foundation Grant Award
$6,500 to Support "Summer Readers Reach for the Stars" in 2019

The Foundation for the Kent County Public Library has been awarded a $6,500 grant from the PNC Foundation to support the 2019 Summer Reading Program "Summer Readers Read the Stars" and other early literacy initiatives.

Kids of all ages are invited to join us to construct simple “gingerbread” houses using graham crackers, gobs of gumdrops, icing galore, and so much more. 
                                                                    
There are three opportunities to participate – one at each of KCPL’s locations.
