Introducing the TRAC:

Tracy Recreation Activity Center


At an October City Council meeting, the Multi-Generational Recreation Center was given a new name: The TRAC, or Tracy Recreation Activity Center. The City continues to make progress on construction and is excited to unveil the TRAC soon. For more information, visit the project's dedicated website.


Downtown Tracy Community Benefit District Informational Meeting Recap


In early October, the Economic Development Division hosted a Downtown Tracy Community Benefit District Informational Meeting at the Transit Center to brief downtown business and property owners on the legislative history and outline the next steps for the owners’ association to implement the District Management Plan.




Tracy Economic Development Staff Attends Local Events


In early October, staff from Tracy's Economic Development Division attended the MultiChamber Mixer hosted by the Manteca Chamber of Commerce and the Networking Coffee hosted by InBloom Tattoo and the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. Each event allowed attendees to engage with new and existing local businesses, corporations, and share available support and resources.




LCEA Resilience Hub Campaign


The Local Clean Energy Alliance (LCEA), in collaboration with Ava Community Energy and Emerald Cities Collaborative, is powering resilience hubs with clean energy in Alameda and San Joaquin counties through its incentive program. LCEA is currently identifying potential sites in Tracy. To learn more about this incentive program and more, visit the LCEA website.

CDBG 2025-26 Recipients


In August, the City Council authorized amended award allocations for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) recipients for FY 25-26, allowing Tracy to invest in our community through development activities that benefit low- and moderate-income residents and areas.


Congratulations to all the awardees who have dedicated their organizations to serving community members. Awardees include: Tracy Interfaith Ministries, Tracy Community Connections Center, Community Partnerships of Families of San Joaquin, McHenry House, Boys and Girls Club of Tracy, Prevail, UNeed2, Tracy Earth Project, and Sow a Seed.


Volt on the Go Partnership


The City of Tracy is thrilled to announce a partnership with Volt on the Go for an exclusive "Introduction to Manufacturing: Relay Controls" course. This hands-on training is perfect for anyone looking to master relay logic control circuits, widely used in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The course will be held at the Tracy Transit Center on the following dates:



  • Jan. 20: 5–9 p.m.
  • Jan. 21: 5–9 p.m.
  • Jan. 22: 5–6:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 22, 6:30–8:30 p.m. Graduation & Open House
