Despite recent local and national events, I hope that you and your family members remain healthy and safe. So many people are curious about what is happening in both residential and commercial real estate right now. Since the recent release of my first book, Real Estate Rescue (www.RealEstateRescue.me), I have been doing weekly radio, television, and podcast interviews about the state of our industry. I am very pleased to write that residential real estate in Marin is doing incredibly well, with some homes selling at or even over pre-coronavirus prices! As predicted in my last newsletter, droves of San Francisco buyers living in vertical spaces with constraint are snapping up Marin County homes with easy access to trails, bike paths, open space, and swimming pools. The natural beauty of Marin has made our county’s most desirable communities an easy choice for San Francisco buyers.

I am successfully transacting my listings at pre-coronavirus values, as long as the price of the home is in alignment with recent closings in the area, and well prepared for showings with pre listing improvements that are trending in design right now. This is most critical to your home’s outcome and a large part of the book I wrote.

I remain incredibly optimistic about Marin real estate based on continued low interest rates, very low supply (which is keeping pressure on pricing), the ease of commute into San Francisco, multitudinous recreational opportunities, proximity to the ocean and wine country, and strength of our local public schools. I have transacted approximately $40 million in home sales since Shelter In Place in Marin was put into effect just three months ago, which further supports my theory that the market remains very stable here despite unprecedented times.
