Please join the New England Council's Trade Working Group for a Post-Election Policy Outlook briefing on federal trade policy featuring Ms. Kelly Ann Shaw and Ms. Sally Laing.

Kelly Ann Shaw is a partner at the global law firm Hogan Lovells and is recognized as one of the world’s leading international trade, global economics and national security experts. Prior to Hogan Lovells, Ms. Shaw served as President Trump’s Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs. Her range of interests includes supply chain management, tariff and customs issues, forced labor prevention, investment restrictions, WTO litigation, national security, and industrial policies among others.

Sally Liang is a partner at the law firm Akin Gump after more than a decade as Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee as well as a stint as Assistant General Counsel at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Ms. Laing handled a number of significant trade matters during her time on Capitol Hill and is currently working on such issues as maintaining secure and resilient supply chains, defeating trade barriers, and addressing trade enforcement actions.

These two trade experts have shaped U.S. trade policy and are uniquely qualified to provide their insight to New England Council members on how the outcome of the 2024 elections could impact trade policy decisions in Washington, D.C. – decisions that will affect our region, our nation, and the world. If you can join us, please register using the link below.
