Beginning in April 28, 2025, Build Smart Institute will offer OSHA 30-hour training to trainees.

OSHA 30- hour is a comprehensive safety program designed to provide workers and supervisors with a deep understanding of workplace safety standards, focusing on hazard recognition, risk assessment, designating competent and qualified people, and proper safety protocols. The course covers key topics such as fall protection, electrical safety, machine guarding, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.

By adding this training to our course offerings, we look forward to providing flexibility for trainees to complete the course at Build Smart's Roanoke, Virginia location or at one of our training partners including Ferrum College, New College Institute and new partners later this year.

With an authorized Outreach OSHA trainer on staff, Build Smart makes it a convenient and accessible choice for trade professionals looking to enhance their workplace safety knowledge.

Roanoke City Public Schools RCPS Works Student Job Fair & Transition Services Fair is being held Thursday April 17th, 2025.

RCPS Works is an annual job fair sponsored by Roanoke City Public Schools to connect students with employers for summer jobs as well as longer-term employment opportunities. There will also be transition resources available for students with disabilities.
