USTDA Commemorates 20th Anniversary of U.S.-Vietnam Relations by Supporting Two New Infrastructure Projects

ARLINGTON, VaThis week, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency commemorated the 20th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the United States and Vietnam by signing two new grant agreements for infrastructure development projects.

USTDA Provides Training on U.S. Passenger Service System to Brazil's TAM Airlines
WASHINGTON, District of Columbia - June 30, in conjunction with the visit of President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil to the United States, the White House announced that the U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a training grant to TAM Airlines in support of their procurement of a U.S. passenger service system.

Upcoming Events
July 12-22, 2015: Brazil: Green Port Technologies Reverse Trade Mission, Miami, FL; Houston, TX; and Long Beach, CA - This visit is designed to introduce delegates from Brazil to U.S. green port technologies and U.S. best practices for environmental management at port operations. The delegates will have the opportunity to learn about green port programs related to energy efficiency, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and resource conversation.

July 20, 2015 Brazil: Green Port Technologies Industry Roundtable for U.S. Companies, Long Beach, California USTDA will host an Industry Roundtable  in Long Beach, CA on July 20, 2015, where U.S. companies can learn about upcoming opportunities in Brazil and meet with senior-level delegates participating in the  Green Port Technologies Reverse Trade Mission.

August 3-7, 2015New Istanbul Airport Reverse Trade Mission, Atlanta (August 3), Dallas/Ft. Worth (August 4-5), Chicago (August 5-7) - The delegation will include ten senior Turkish officials from the General Directorate of States Airports Authority in Turkey (DHMI) as well as executives from the Turkish consortia that are constructing and will operate the airport, IGA Airports Construction and IGA Airports Management.

August 4, 2015New Istanbul Airport Business Briefing, Atlanta, GA  - There will be a Business Briefing on Tuesday, August 4, at the World Trade Center in Atlanta (3343 Peachtree Road, NE, Suite 1850) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., during which U.S. companies can connect directly with these high level Turkish officials responsible for implementing the New Istanbul Airport.


August 9-20, 2015: Sub-Saharan Africa Agribusiness Reverse Trade Mission, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota
USTDA will be hosting a delegation of senior officials from sub-Saharan Africa's agribusiness sector to the United States for the Agribusiness Reverse Trade Mission (RTM).  The visit is designed to introduce delegates to U.S. companies that provide equipment and services for large scale agribusiness projects and to showcase state-of-the-art U.S. agribusiness technologies and facilities.
