Call for Board Candidates & Board Member Terms
The Traditions at Vizcaya Community Association will be turned over from Declarant to Homeowner Control at the Annual Meeting on October 19, 2023, at which time the Election of three (3) Resident Directors will be announced.

An email was sent out on August 11th from traditionsvizcaya@tieivote.com, calling for individuals interested in becoming candidates for the Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for community members to take an active role in shaping the future of the association. The deadline for submitting candidacy applications is set for Friday, September 08, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete their submissions before this deadline.

According to Section 4.1. (c) of the Traditions Association Bylaws, the election process involves selecting candidates for different term lengths. Specifically, one candidate will be elected to a three-year term, another candidate will be elected to a two-year term, and a third candidate will be elected to a one-year term. The candidate with the highest number of votes will be chosen for the three-year term, the candidate with the next highest number of votes will serve the two-year term, and the candidate with the third highest number of votes will assume the one-year term.

This approach ensures a rotation of directors on the Board, providing a mix of experience and fresh perspectives. The community members' involvement in this election process is crucial as they select individuals who will be responsible for making important decisions and guiding the community's direction in the coming years.

Community Pool Reminders
We hope you're making the most of this fantastic pool season! With all the fun and splashes happening, we just wanted to give you a friendly reminder about a few important pool rules:
  • Food and Drinks: To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the area no food or drinks are allowed on the pool deck or in the pool.
  • Pre-Pool Shower: We know sand volleyball can be a blast, but before you make a splash, a quick shower is a must! It's a small step that goes a long way in extending the life of the pool equipment.
  • Know the Rules: Our complete list of pool rules is hanging out at both gates. We kindly request you and your guests to read and follow them while having a great time at the pool.
  • Cleaning Schedule: Currently, the pool is being cleaned every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and Lifeguard 360, the current vendor, provides management with photos of the pool and chemical readings.
CITY OF ROUND ROCK ANNOUNCEMENT
The City of Round Rock - Accessory Dwelling Units Survey
The City of Round Rock’s Planning and Development Services (PDS) department is conducting research on accessory dwelling units (ADUs). An ADU is a permanent dwelling unit built on a legal lot in addition to a principal dwelling unit or structure, and is subordinate in size, location, and use to the principal structure. An ADU includes its own sleeping, cooking, eating and sanitation facilities.

There are no current proposals to make changes to the city’s zoning regulations to allow ADUs where they are currently not allowed. However, staff would like to understand more about existing conditions and preferences regarding ADUs in Round Rock.
As a representative of your community, you have valuable insights about the current state of your neighborhood and the housing demands of your residents. We ask that you complete the survey below on behalf of your neighborhood and do not distribute the survey to residents at this time. Please submit only one survey response per neighborhood.

Click this link to access the survey: https://publicinput.com/accessorydwellingunitsurvey
The deadline to complete this survey is September 1st at 11:59PM.

After taking the survey, staff may follow up with you if it is determined that additional steps are necessary.

Thank you for your participation in this survey. If you have any questions, please contact the City of Round Rock Planning and Development Services Department at 512-218-5428.

6 PM - 7 PM

The next Community Town Hall is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20th at The Pavilion, starting at 6:00 PM.
COMMUNITY STANDARDS CORNER
Last week we added three new violations in Traditions. Two violations were escalated to stage 2 and stage 4 letters. Two violation were closed, both for landscaping.

Our goal is to foster a thriving and appealing community for all residents, and your cooperation in adhering to community guidelines plays a significant role in achieving this objective.

  • The violation policy gives those owners who received the violation letters this week seven days to correct their violation.
  • If, after seven days, the next inspection shows that a violation has been corrected, the violation is closed out in the owner's file.
  • If the violation has not been corrected after the seven-day window, the next stage letter, Stage 1, which is the first warning letter, is sent/emailed to the owner.
  • After another seven days, if the violation is still not corrected, a Stage 2 letter is sent/emailed, which comes with a $25.00 fine placed on the owner's HOA account.
  • After another seven days, if the correction has not been made, a Stage 3 letter is sent to the homeowners, which comes with a $50.00 fine.
  • Finally, is the correction has not been made after another seven days, a Stage 4 letter is sent, which comes with a $100 fine. This $100 weekly fine is continued until the violation is corrected.
