Call for Board Candidates & Board Member Terms
The Traditions at Vizcaya Community Association will be turned over from Declarant to Homeowner Control at the Annual Meeting on October 19, 2023, at which time the Election of three (3) Resident Directors will be announced.

An email was sent out on August 11th from traditionsvizcaya@tieivote.com, calling for individuals interested in becoming candidates for the Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for community members to take an active role in shaping the future of the association. The deadline for submitting candidacy applications is set for Friday, September 08, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete their submissions before this deadline.

According to Section 4.1. (c) of the Traditions Association Bylaws, the election process involves selecting candidates for different term lengths. Specifically, one candidate will be elected to a three-year term, another candidate will be elected to a two-year term, and a third candidate will be elected to a one-year term. The candidate with the highest number of votes will be chosen for the three-year term, the candidate with the next highest number of votes will serve the two-year term, and the candidate with the third highest number of votes will assume the one-year term.

This approach ensures a rotation of directors on the Board, providing a mix of experience and fresh perspectives. The community members' involvement in this election process is crucial as they select individuals who will be responsible for making important decisions and guiding the community's direction in the coming years.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS CORNER
Last week we added thirteen new violations in Traditions (5 landscaping, 1 garage, 5 trash, 1 vehicle parking, and 1 architectural), and nine violations were escalated (8 Stage 2 letters, and 1 Stage 3 letters).

Just a friendly reminder about a few things that help keep our community a great place to live:

Garages: Garage doors shall remain closed at all times, except for the temporary opening for entering/exiting the garage, loading or removal of other items kept therein, or when a person is in the garage or engaged in yard work.

Parking: To keep our streets safe and neighborhood looking it's best, please park all vehicles in your garage or on your driveway overnight.

Barbecue Grills: Freestanding barbecue grills can be stored and used only in the rear yard space and not visible from the street.

Our goal is to foster a thriving and appealing community for all residents, and your cooperation in adhering to community guidelines plays a significant role in achieving this objective.

If you have any questions, please contact our Community Standards Coordinator, Valerie Cisneros, at vadkins@ccmcnet.com.
