Isleton Bridge Rehabilitation Work Complete

Bridge is Open and Fully Functional

SACRAMENTO COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists that as of Wednesday, June 26, the Isleton bridge on State Route 160 (SR 160) in the Delta region had its mechanical and electrical work completed, four days ahead of schedule.

The bridge received a full mechanical and electrical control systems upgrade.

UPDATE for DELTA BRIDGES CONSTRUCTION:

Rio Vista Bridge

The Lift Span Deck Replacement has been completed, however, there are still items of work remaining. Motorists should expect single lane reversing traffic control through the year.

Paintersville Bridge

Work is on schedule to have the bridge back in service on July 31 as planned.

These delta bridges were originally constructed in the early 1920s and then reconstructed or refurbished in the early 1950s. Repair work is required to ensure the safety of the structures.

Weather conditions could delay or cancel scheduled work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” For motorists using the State Route 84 Real McCoy and State Route 220 Ryer Island ferries as a bridge detour, additional ferry information is located at  Delta Ferries | Caltrans or call the Caltrans Ferry Update Line at (510) 622-0120 for the latest information.
