The extended closure will help to minimize the duration of the work and improve workers’ safety. Motorists should anticipate delays between 10 to 15 minutes, which may increase during peak commute hours.
Local residential access will be maintained with anticipated delays for crews to relocate equipment as needed to facilitate movement. Once reopened, the Lincoln Way/Borland Avenue intersection will be in the new roundabout configuration.

Lamon Construction Co., Inc. of Yuba City is the prime contractor for the project, which will realign two reversing curves to improve sight distance and safety by reducing the sharpness of each curve. Additionally, the existing traffic signal at the Lincoln Way/Borland Avenue intersection is being replaced with a roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow.
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
