In 2021, there were 2,700 school bus crashes in Florida.

We can do better. If everyone slows down, pays attention, and drives with extra caution when school buses are around and in school zones, we can make a difference.

FLHSMV and FHP are leading Florida’s Child Safety Awareness campaign throughout the month of August to remind everyone to drive safely with and around children so everyone can Arrive Alive this school year. Safety tips, downloadable resources, fines/penalties, and data regarding school bus safety can be found here.
