The National Safety Council’s Advanced Safety Certificate Program (ASC) is a nationally recognized safety curriculum based on proven best practices. Participants will develop the skills necessary to think critically about safety, create comprehensive safety plans and execute on those plans.

Non-Member: $110 | As part of the Utah Safety Council member benefits, this course is

FREE for one person, per member organization, per membership year.

This course provides participants with the most up-to-date First Aid, CPR and AED training specifically focused

on medical emergencies in the workplace.

Participants learn life-saving skills including treatment for shock, bleeding and wounds, burns, medical emergencies and more. Upon completion, students receive First Aid Certification and a CPR and AED Certification valid for two years.

Are you REQUIRED to have First Aid Training?

According to CFR 1910, Occupational Safety and Health Standards, subpart K, Medical and first Aid, Standard 1910.151 Medical service and first aid - subs section (b) In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available. Near proximity means 4-6 Minutes from care if you work in an area where suffocation, severe bleeding or other life-threatening or permanently disabling injury or illness can be expected.
