Traffic Shifts in Norfolk Between the Willoughby Bay Bridge and Mason Creek Road
Motorists should stay alert to new traffic patterns beginning as early as Monday, March 28.
NORFOLK – As part of the HRBT Expansion Project's roadway widening in Norfolk, traffic shifts are planned for I-64 east between Willoughby Bay Bridge and Mason Creek Road. Beginning as early as Monday, March 28, the traffic shift will move both eastbound travel lanes left towards the median and the left shoulder will be removed. Crews will then install a new barrier wall to the right of the travel lanes to facilitate drainage operations and provide access to the work zone.

Motorists should stay alert to new traffic patterns and drive safely through the work zone.

Motorists should expect delays or take alternate routes. As always, motorists are encouraged to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay careful attention while driving through the construction zone.
