I-95 15 Bridges, Providence/Cranston/Warwick

Two operations for this project are expected to take place starting Friday night, May 16:

All travel lanes on I-95 North and South at the Route 10 interchange in Cranston will be shifted to the right through 2026. The change is related to the ongoing I-95 15 Bridges project and is being done in advance of work to rebuild the I-95 and Route 10 interchange.

We’ll begin making traffic pattern changes to the Broad Street Bridge and the Eddy Street Bridge, which carry local streets over I-95 in Providence. Traffic on the Broad Street bridge will be shifted to one side and the bike lane is temporarily closed. One sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. Cyclists should dismount and walk their bikes over the bridge. We’ll also close a portion of the nearby Eddy Street Bridge and establish a detour for southbound traffic. Access to Byfield Street, which runs parallel to I-95 will be closed from Eddy Street. These traffic changes will remain in effect through 2028.
