In the coming weeks, the City of Burlingame Public Works Department will be providing weekly traffic and transportation updates mostly related to the US101/Broadway Interchange Project. Traffic Update: February 19 - February 20

Beginning Friday night, February 19,  from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, the southbound 101/Broadway off-ramp at Rollins and Cadillac Way will be closed in order to reconfigure traffic lanes.  As part of the US101/Broadway Interchange Project, Caltrans will be allowing the US101 southbound off-ramp traffic to turn south onto Rollins Road and west to Cadillac Way again.  This construction work is for one night only and is weather dependent.

4 stops downtown, 11 times a day!
 
The City would like to remind the community that the Burlingame Trolley continues to provide free, daily service downtown.  Sponsored by the local hotels, the Broadway Merchants Association, the Downtown Burlingame Business Improvement District and the City, this service provides the community with convenient access to shopping, restaurants and entertainment.  Click here for the schedule.
energyEnergy Efficiency Financing
New program now available!
 
Property owners looking to finance energy efficiency improvements now have another option with Ygrene. Ygrene joins the City's other 4 PACE programs - PACE, stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy, and is an innovative program that allows property owners to spread the cost of a project over many years by tacking it onto their annual property tax payments. PACE programs may finance solar energy, energy efficiency, water efficiency, and seismic improvements as well as electric vehicle charging stations. The Parks and Recreation Department is now offering a Documentary Film Series program. Documentaries on a variety of topics will be screened every Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. This will be in addition to the Friday Matinee program showing new releases on Fridays at 1:00 p.m..  See the Burlingame Gazette (Active Adults Newsletter) for a listing of the films that will be shown.  All adults in the community are invited to both complimentary programs.

Girls on the Run
Currently seeking volunteer coaches

Girls on the Run of the Bay Area is a life-changing, non-profit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Its mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. The Burlingame Historical Society presents: Burlingame Jeopardy! Play along, win prizes and have fun! The Historical Society will use images from its permanent collection to test the audience's sleuthing ability while discovering Burlingame past and present.  This event is free and open to the public.
