ROSTER CHECK - Get Ahead on Fall Renewals
As we wrap up summer and head into the new school year, it’s the perfect time to review your unit roster. We’re now more than a year into the Individual Renewal system, but we still see many Scouts who should be active showing as not renewed.
Committee Chairs: Please work with your unit leaders—Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Den Leaders, and ASMs—to check your roster. Some Scouts may have dropped off unintentionally, and now’s the time to get ahead.
This review is also your first step in managing fall renewals. Nearly 900 Scouts across our council will need to renew between August and December. Taking care of it early makes it easier to keep the adventure going strong.

UPDATE YOUR BeAScout PIN TODAY!
Your BeAScout.org pin is often the first impression a family has of your Pack, Troop, or Crew—make sure it’s accurate, inviting, and up to date!
Log in to my.scouting.org and check your unit's pin today. Confirm that your contact info, meeting location, and welcome message are current, and be sure your unit is set to “Active” so families can find you!
A few minutes now can make all the difference in helping new families connect with your program.
Parents and Adult Volunteers: please check that your my.scouting account has your current email and phone number. For parents, please make sure your scout is linked to your profile. National office uses the contact information in my.scouting accounts to send out notices regarding membership renewal and training.

FALL RECRUITING
Scouts BSA Fall Recruitment – Let’s Grow Together!
Fall isn’t just for Cub Scout recruitment—Scouts BSA Troops have a big opportunity too! We know it takes planning and effort, but it pays off when new Scouts join the adventure.
As your troop’s PLC finalizes the fall calendar, make sure to include fun, social activities where Scouts can invite their friends. Also, keep an eye on local events and festivals—a simple display or booth can go a long way in boosting visibility and bringing in new members.
If it feels like too much to do alone, team up with another troop or pack in your area and work together.
