Greetings!
Throughout the pandemic, Shepherd’s Hope has witnessed unprecedented need across the community. At the height of the pandemic, the organization has served 200% more people in need compared to January 2019. During this time of tremendous need, our mission is still “to recognize and meet the needs of our neighbors, pledging to help individuals to become compassionate contributors to family, community and society; we vow to do this one life at a time.” It is clear, Shepherd’s Hope must rise to meet the avalanche of food insecure Englewood residents. And, at the same time, provide health and life supports the community needs; to grow and maintain our impact throughout the Englewood community.
|
|
In 2020 Shepherd’s Hope launched community services for medical, vision, mental health and youth after-school activities – that will provide essential health resources and will help to reduce violence throughout the neighborhood and city through these after school programs. With your support change can take place in the “lives and livelihoods” of youth and adults.

Please visit us at THE CENTER!!

On behalf of Shepherd’s Hope Board members, staff, volunteers and Englewood families we ask you to bless us with your support to make a difference in our community. Increased resources are needed now more than ever!
Increased resources = Increased number of qualified mentors and instructors & more one-one-one guidance for the students.
When you visit THE CENTER, the return on your investment is visible. It all had to start somewhere: a 1,000 sq ft bungalow feeding hungry people. Through building relationship and trust, it blossomed into THE CENTER, a one-of-a-kind community center with more positive activity in one building than Englewood (or most other area communities) have ever seen before.

In 2020/21, Shepherd’s Hope has:
• Tripled the number of individuals we serve – from 300 to 1,000 individuals a day (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) through our food pantry.
• Served double the number of cooked meals monthly (1,800 to 3,500),
• Distributed $2.4 MILLION in food donations yearly, and
• Provided a building that is open 7 days a week serving the Englewood community.
