Trails Open for the Weekend
The McDonald Hollow Trails will reopen this weekend, Saturday 9/4 & Sunday 9/5. The trails will close again Monday 9/6 for at least one day.
The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy is working to remediate issues with past small-scale mining on the property to make it safer for recreation and to improve water quality.
Work on the property will continue for a few more weeks, but the property will be open during most of the remaining work.
