40 Hour Mediator Training Offers Free Tuition for Center Volunteers
Palmdale, CA - CALM (the Center for Alternative Law & Mediation) will train applicants to become mediators who can facilitate resolution of a variety of types of disputes including landlord-tenant and eldercare on five Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mar. 9 through Apr. 6, 2013 at the City of Palmdale's Neighborhood House No.2, 1129 E Avenue R-4. CALM was established in Palmdale in 2011 as a nonprofit agency to educate, train and serve by offering local communities free or sliding scale alternatives to the traditional legal process, resulting in savings of time, costs and stress. Free or sliding scale services are possible primarily through the use of professionally trained volunteers.
