Challenge
A Wells Fargo bank in Raleigh, NC had three 46 Ton Trane SWUD units that had reached the end of their lifespan. In their search to find a replacement unit, it was difficult to find an HVAC unit that would fit the exact footprint of the existing SWUD’s without having to perform costly demolition of the building structure. Additionally, the building was 70% occupied and they wanted the replacement to occur without disruption to the occupants.

Solution
Timing could not have been better for the bank, as United CoolAir has the VariCool Renovator , a direct replacement for Trane SWUD units ranging from 42–80 Tons. These self-contained water-cooled units shipped in multiple sections, fitting through the doorway and easily into the space. Additionally, the retrofit was accomplished over one weekend to the customers satisfaction.
