Every Day is Trans Visibility Day!

Dear Will,

It is disheartening to watch some folks turn TDOV, which happened to fall on a moveable Easter Sunday this year, into a conspiracy theory. If we had a nickel for every time someone uses any portion of our LGBTQ2-S+ Community, we wouldn't have to do any fundraising to keep our doors open as a center. Ironic for us, who moved our event away from the busyness of Easter weekend so folks could have enough time to participate in our event we are hosting at the mall in Fairfield.

But such nonsense can't take away our joy. Life is full of joy, and color, and glitter, and on partly rainy days like these – life is even full of rainbows!

We have a very significant Trans Day of Visibility program prepared for this Saturday! We will be meeting at the Health Hub at the Solano Town Center Mall in Fairfield on Saturday, April 6th from 11 am to 2 pm. This will be a great way to meet and learn more about Trans and Non-Binary (ENBY) people. As you can see above, we are partnering with the Solano Serenity Center and Louise Lawrence Trans Archive from Vallejo to make this quite the experience, where people can choose from 3-4 activities at any given time, choosing from short video presentations, speakers and panel conversations, crafts, and look through some of the items from the Trans Archive that will be on hand. Participants will be able to go their own speed, and check out what is of most interest to them. Email [email protected] for more information.

The Health Hub is on the first floor of the mall, and most easily accessed if you park outside of Dicks Sporting Goods, walk directly through the store, and then turn right where you will find it on the right hand side of the mall across from the stores Q and Bath and Body Works. I hope you find this a great opportunity to bring a friend who would like to learn more from our Trans siblings and leaders from around the county. (see flyer below for sharing).
