Introducing TransForm's New Privacy & Security Manager: Shreya Singh

With the retirement of former Privacy and Security Manager, Mark Loffhagen, TransForm had some big shoes to fill for a position critical to our team and the security of our data and systems. The right fit at the right time, Shreya Singh has stepped into the role of Privacy and Security Manager for TransForm.

Jumping in with both feet, Shreya has been acclimatizing herself to her new position and team since she started December 9, 2024, and took the time to answer some questions and let us get to know her a little better.

With over eight years of experience in Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Shreya’s extensive expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that we are focused on robust privacy and security practices.

“Before TransForm, I worked in healthcare, aviation, and IT as a Security Architect and Consultant,” Shreya explained. “I got to work on a variety of security projects, which really helped me grow in my field.”

Shreya led numerous high-impact security initiatives, focusing on compliance with stringent regulatory standards, and building frameworks that protect critical data across diverse environments. She worked with notable organizations like Orion Health, ICAO, and Orange Business Services, where she led comprehensive IT audits, vulnerability assessments, and the implementation of effective risk management strategies.

While it’s early days in her role at TransForm, Shreya is enjoying the new challenges and getting a better understanding of providing privacy and security services to our partner hospitals and community organizations.

“What I really enjoy about my job is that it keeps me challenged and gives me room to grow. It’s not the same thing every day, and that keeps it exciting!” Shreya noted. “Plus, the idea that I can make even a small difference in the healthcare industry really motivates me. The positivity and the potential to contribute to something meaningful is what really keeps me going.”

Implementing security measures and providing strategic direction in shaping our approach to data privacy and security, Shreya will be very busy, but her years of experience have taught her methods of staying focused on the task at hand.

“I like to break my tasks down into smaller chunks and think about how much time each one will take. I usually start with the smaller tasks first—those quick wins help me build momentum. That way, I have more time and energy to focus on the bigger tasks later on,” she explained.

When not on the job, Shreya shared that she likes to relax by challenging herself with new and thrilling activities – the more exciting the better.

“Outside of work, I’m all about adventure! I love trekking and exploring new cities. I’m also into thrill-seeking activities like river rafting, paragliding, and bungee jumping,” Shreya said. “It’s a great way to unwind and recharge for the next challenge!”

With a new city and Great Lakes area to explore, we look forward to introducing Shreya to all our beautiful region has to offer.

Initiative: eVOLVE - Transforming Healthcare at Bluewater Health

The successful launch of Bluewater Health’s new hospital information system (HIS), powered by Oracle Health, is a proud milestone for TransForm Shared Service Organization and a game-changer for patient care in the Sarnia-Lambton community. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our team and partners in driving the adoption of cutting-edge digital health innovations.

In November 2024, the e-VOLVE Phase 4 go-live marked a seamless transition to Oracle Health, equipping Bluewater Health staff with the tools needed to enhance processes and deliver better outcomes for patients.

Behind the Scenes: The Device Team

Central to this success was the e-VOLVE Device Team, who transformed a 7,000+ square foot parking garage into a fully functional workspace to prepare and deploy critical devices. Led by TransForm’s Technical Lead, the team included five Junior Support Analysts and a Project Assistant who worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was in place for a smooth go-live. Their dedication and problem-solving made a complex transition appear effortless.
